Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Walk

Once a year on the Winter Solstice the PTO brings together our community to reconnect with each other, and with nature’s cycles to celebrate the magical quality of light.
Hot chocolate and hot cider are served as children and families create homemade paper lanterns. We then gather as a group and take a walk together around the neighborhood using the light to guide us.
This year we would like to thank the Community School for collaborating with the PTO on lantern making, as well as thank our wonderful art teacher Sara Goldsmith for her support.
As the year closes remember to be the lantern, and be the light.
